Grown in Bella Vista, Paraguay, the heart of yerba mate country. Hand harvested only 3 months out of the year and special aged for 2 years before packaging. With Stems. This is one of Paraguay's premium brands. It has a smaller leaf cut and more dust than traditional Argentina brands because it is mostly used with ice water and a bombilla (terrere). Selecta is also smoked a bit during the drying process.

This is a great Yerba mate. The taste is very good. My family loves the mate tradition, mostly drink it hot, but it lends itself well to the cold Terere Mate.

    Selecta Yerba Mate

My wife, who was born in Paraguay, and I visited a Selecta Yerba Mate farm (last year) in Bella Vista, Paraguay. I had been drinking another brand of Yerba Mate for over 20 years. When I tried the Selecta brand at the farm, I decided to switch to that cleaning & nutritious brand. I would like to share the website I created of our visit to the Selecta Yerba Mate farm: http://wigowsky.com/travels/paraguay/YerbaMate.pdf

    Selecta Traditional Yerba Mate

    Pros:
    • flavor price
    Cons:

Excellent flavor. I use a French press to make tea rather than use a gourd and appreciate the stems and dust associated with a traditional yerba mate. Go Yerba Mate has always delivered fresh products at a reasonable price so Rick has been my go-to source for several years. Great service on great products.
