Toasted Yerba Mate Gourd Medium Size (6-8 oz) with Bombilla

Really nice quality set for the money .

The bombilla alone is worth the price of this set. It is sturdy, with a spoon-shaped filter. It does not unscrew, though, so I’m considering it a long term disposable unit. It should work well for 2-3 years, even at using it twice a day. The mate itself is traditional gourd, and it is fairly large. It’s a good one to have when you drink mate with several people. With the quantity of yerba it takes, if it’s poured properly, the mate should last a good long round.

I love these! I order them all the time and hand them out to friends! Never got a complaint.

I did not receive a gourd that was pictured here. The opening (or "mouth") at the top was rough and unfinished . . . . it could have benefitted from sanding with sandpaper. There were no "toasted" areas on the outside of the gourd; only somewhat darker splotches near the bottom. The gourd is not attractive, and is inferior to most of the gourds available on the streets of South America.
